We fixed the hay elevator, got the hay up in the mow, and even found time to collect a little from the garden. A lot can get done on a farm in a day, especially when the weather, and equipment work with you.

Sometimes the day is not what you expect. Sometimes the equipment you need to get the job done is just not on your side. But when all else fails, bake more bread. Those who say, man cannot live on bread alone, do not enjoy fine bread.

The old saying goes - "make hay while the sun shines." Maybe it should also include, "if you can." Sometimes things just don't go as planned, but you make the best of what you are given. At the end of the day, you have to get the hay in.
